The Man On The Roof Bible Story

This is a lesson about the friends bringing a man that couldn t walk to see jesus but there were so many people they had to put a hole in the roof and let him down.

He was paralyzed and could not move. In our group for reception year two we are doing a series of bible stories that can be found here. They would find another way into the house. This week we began with the man through the roof story healing of the paralysed man from mark 2 1 12.

When the man s friends carried him to the house where jesus was staying they found the house to be packed with people wanting to hear jesus and be healed by him. We made a craft using a square envelope for the house. Man goes through roof to see jesus. A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood.

If they could get up on the roof they could remove a part of the roof and make a hole above the crowd. The man is literally let down through the roof under the careful control of his concerned friends and into a situation controlled by the lord jesus christ. This is my version. Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof jump in i can save you the stranded fellow shouted back no it s ok i m praying to god and he is going to save me. His friends believed that jesus could make him well but they couldn t even get in the door. This lesson is intended for preschool and out students really enjoyed the projects.
